Lead Direct Support Professional/Program Supervisor

Location: Norristown, Montgomery County

Schedule
: Sun 10am-6pm, Mon 1:30pm-9:30pm, Tue 1:30pm-9:30pm, Thu 1:30pm-9:30pm and Fri 1:30pm-9:30pm

We are in search of energetic, patient, and supportive people to work in a cohesive team to provide supports to adults with Developmental Disabilities. The Direct Support Professional Lead supports those in our care to reach their highest potential by providing them with assistance to achieve their goals and their daily activities.

The essential function of the position includes the following:

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
  • Engage clients in recreational and social activities to promote community involvement and personal growth.
  • Ensures the provision and implementation of services
  • Ensures that the residential unit is maintained and operated in a safe, secure, and lawful manner.
  • Supervises the daily activity and needs of the program participants.
  • Supervises the provision of upkeep, maintenance, and supplies required for the physical facility, preparation, and recording of menus, expenses, daily communications, activities, medication, and daily program participant records.


All Team Members must:

· be 18 years of age or older

· have a current driver's license with no suspensions or points within the past three years

· High School diploma or GED plus 6 months experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.

· be available to work on weekends and holidays

· must pass Medication Administration Certification Training


Experience

  • Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is required.
  • Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
  • Knowledge of CPR and first aid certification is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
  • A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others achieve their best quality of life
  • Supervisory Experience is Preferred
