We are in search of a Behavioral Support Specialist (BSS) to support Delaware County and Philadelphia County
The BSS provides behavioral support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Behavior Support Specialists provide support in a variety of settings, including group homes, day programs and other locations in the community. With a focus on enhancing the individual's current social, communication, vocational and life skills and his or her quality of life, the BSS provides assessment, identifies strategies, and develops support plans. They also facilitate staff and caregiver training, as well as coordinate services with the individual, agency staff, other service providers and county support coordinators. The Behavior Support Specialist is directly accountable to the Director of Behavior Supports
The successful candidate should be able to work a combination of daytime and evening hours, and minimal weekend hours when necessary. This position is based out of the Clifton Heights office .Travel is required of this position within Philadelphia and surrounding areas. Paid Training opportunities and mileage reimbursement for the employee.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree (Master preferred) in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Social Work, Special Education or a related human service field; and Two years' experience working with people with an IDD/ASD for Bachelors level candidates. One year working with people IDD/ASD for Masters level candidates.
All Team Members must:
· be 18 years of age or older
· have a current driver's license with no suspensions or points within the past three years
· have no prohibitive criminal offenses
